Sadie in the web portal
The web portal release: the changes early venues asked for, clearer numbers on Home, Sadie's settings reorganized, invitations by role, and recommendations on the phone app.
The web portal is where you set Sadie up and read how she is doing. This release is shaped by the venues already using it, and most of it started as their feedback.
What early venues asked for
- Minutes used replaces labour hours saved. It counts the time Sadie spent on the phone so your team did not have to.
- Transfers shows each count with its share of calls next to it.
- Searching Guests by phone number matches the digits, so spaces and dashes no longer matter.
- The Inbox names the caller from the reservation Sadie booked, and says Unknown guest only when there is none.
- Forms is open to every location. There is no access to request any more.
- Sign-in no longer offers to create an account. People join by invitation.
- The Calls view on Home opens on the Transfers trend, and for this month it compares against the same days last month.
Clearer numbers on Home
Performance now has three views: Summary, Bookings and Calls. Demand folds into Bookings, which covers the bookings Sadie placed, after-hours bookings and party sizes. Bookings placed shows its share of calls, and hovering explains that the percent is bookings placed out of calls answered.
Home opens at the scope you work at, a single location, a group, or All locations, and rolls the numbers up to match. When only some of your locations report, Home says how many it is based on.
Sadie's settings are easier to find
The tabs under Sadie are named for what they hold: Greetings & Messages, Bookings, Knowledge Base, Transfers, SMS Reasons, Special Messages, Working Hours, Availability Rules and Assistant Settings. Special Messages now has its own tab, split out from SMS Reasons so it does not get missed during a weekly review.
Knowledge Base also sits in the main menu beside Guests, with its questions and answers open, and holds the business knowledge that used to live with the greetings. It appears once Sadie is set up for the location.
Greetings & Messages. Click Listen to hear a greeting before you save it, at the Playback speed you choose. A greeting can run to 700 characters. Special Messages gains a Custom category for instructions of your own.
Transfers. Pick a Reason from a list, such as a large reservation, a lost item or a guest who wants to speak to a person, or choose Custom to write your own. A pause can cover a Full day, and the pause schedule labels every reason.
Working Hours. Split the week into named Hours sections, for example a happy hour, with Add section. Special & Holiday Hours covers the days that differ. Scheduled pauses and their history sit alongside, with Edit schedule to change one.
Availability Rules. Drop-in is now Walk-in, and the action reads Welcome walk-ins. When a rule cannot save yet, the button says what is missing, such as a name, a day or a time.
Connections. The Booking tab shows the booking provider linked to the location. Sadie staff set those channels up, so contact support to add, change or remove one. On Add-ons, a connection the provider stopped accepting shows Reconnect needed.
Test call. The test call rings until Sadie answers, then gives you Mute and End call. Click Cancel to stop it while it rings.
Invitations by role
Viewer is now a company role: a viewer can see everything but cannot make changes. The dialog is called Invite a teammate, offers only the roles you can give, and says where the person will join: the location, a group, or every location. It starts on the location you are in.
Anyone who can edit a location can now open its settings. A viewer no longer sees the options to add a location or create a group.
Forms looks like Guests
Forms has the same layout as Guests: stat tiles for all, active and inactive forms and their email and SMS alerts, a search by form name, Filters, and Add form.
Recommendations on the phone app
Recommendations suggests answers from recent calls and Sadie's setup. A banner on the app says how many are waiting and how many are high impact. Tap Review, then Add the answer, Update the answer or Dismiss. When Sadie drafts an answer, edit it before you add it.
Every screen with data refreshes when you pull down, times show in each location's own time zone, and the team list updates live.
Sign in with an authenticator
Every account can turn on an authenticator app under Profile: scan a QR code, enter the code it shows, and save the backup codes it gives you. A company admin can also require it for everyone under Company, in the Security card. Anyone without an authenticator yet, including the admin, sets one up before they can continue.
Also fixed
- A day on Schedulers opens a summary of that day's booking calls, including how many were transfers and whether it ran after hours.
- Schedulers picks up your imported Holiday and Hospitality calendars, and a built-in calendar can be synced again from Sources.
- On a single location's board, the Bookings placed tile on Home opens that period's booking calls instead of just highlighting the chart.
- A question mark icon in the header opens the help article for the page you are on, and your account menu now shows your role in the company.
- The phone app's Inbox now carries calls as well as texts. The separate Calls tab is gone.
- The Inbox shows the calls for your own location.
- The bell tells you when an inbox item is assigned to you.
- Messages that confirm an action appear at the top center of the screen.
- Reduced motion is respected everywhere in the portal.
- Switching notification settings on and off quickly saves the last choice you made.
- Voice search selects its text when you click into it, and says when no voice matches.
- Transfer reasons are added and edited in a sheet titled Add transfer reason or Edit transfer reason, saved with Save reason.
- A new special-hours day starts as open hours and saves only after you change it. Saving working hours now says it saved working hours.
- Errors for an empty section name or a long special message wait until you start typing.
- A cleared maximum party size on Bookings stays No limit.
- Save on a Sadie settings card turns on only when something changed, and pause forms open with an empty time window.
- Sadie words walk-ins correctly when she speaks about them.
